Get ready to shop!

We're really excited to announce that our first boutique has opened in our hometown of Poole in Dorset. See the location below and a blog post about the opening here.

Our first store!

We officially opened the doors to our first store this year in Poole's Kingland Crescent. Everything about Brakeburn stems from our love for coastal living, from the clothes to our values, so it’s the perfect location for our first store, situated in our beloved hometown.

Located between Grounded Coffee and Greenslade Fish, the Kingland retail scheme, owned by Legal & General Investment Management Real Assets (LGIM), is in place to help counter the national decline in high streets by offering independent business owners two years of free rent!

Let us tell you a little about Kingland: a colourful explosion of vibrant shops, boutiques, and delicious cafes lining the street. That's what Kingland is all about – a high street initiative that has injected life back into the traditional high street of Poole! With its vibrant atmosphere and laid-back vibe, the initiative has encouraged local entrepreneurs to showcase their creativity, resulting in a diverse array of offerings that cater to a broad audience.

Our neighbours

The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades opened Jay & Co, joining Steve Wyatt of Restored Retro, pairing their passion for restoring furniture. Their collaboration has put Kingland on the map for many locals and tourists who visit the area. Why do we love them? They’re doing something that not many others do—celebrating the uncelebrated in their restoration of great pieces but also embracing the community in the heart of Poole.

If you’re in town looking for great coffee roasted sur-place, then take a sip at Grounded. Their passion for great coffee and exploring new flavours keeps it fresh and exciting with so much to try.

Rosie & Jon started Grounded from their rusty old Land Rover they call Arthur and have now expanded into a fleet of coffee trucks, a shop, and a roastery. You can also enjoy Grounded at home with their coffee subscription that offers 15% off to all customers.

Greenslade Fish, the number one fishmonger in Poole, has been a well-known name around the local area since the 60s. Offering the very best locally caught fresh fish and shellfish, the store also stocks a range of top-quality produce from eggs to wild game and Dorset Sea Salt.

Order online for collection or visit them in-store.
